The Makerere University Convocation comprises of a general assembly which is the supreme decision making organ of the convocation.
It is run by an Executive. In the Executive, the Academic Registrar is the secretary of the convocation.

With a leadership role at Legacy Road Safety Initiative (LRSI), she advocates for youth safety through road safety initiatives.

Academic Registrar / Secretary

Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi

A Professor of Forestry Resource Economics. He holds a BSc, MSc, PhD in Forest Management and several Post-doctoral research trainings. He has undertaken numerous trainings in courses related to natural resources management and environmental governance. His research interests include forest resources economics, ecosystem health and community livelihoods. He has published over 150 scientific journal articles especially in the field of forest management approaches, economics of biodiversity conservation, and environmental impact assessment studies.

Mr. Brian Mauso

Brian Mauso, a dedicated entrepreneur and distributor of Simba Automotive Ug Boss motorbikes, brings extensive experience in logistics and leadership. A development studies graduate and former Guild President of Makerere University Jinja Campus, Brian is committed to economic growth and youth empowerment. His dedication to youth advocacy and governance is evident in his leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Mbale City Youth Council and Board Member of the Presidential Initiative Industrial Hubs.

Mr. Elijah Gatale

A highly skilled software developer and project manager, is currently pursuing a master's in Computer Science, holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Makerere University. With extensive experience in the IT industry, he also serves as a systems administrator for the Directorate of ICT Support (DICTs). Mr. Simon Ssenyonga

A Ugandan advocate of the high court, serves as the Director of the national Christian student association, dedicated to skilling and empowering young people with a Christian worldview. Also a Christian church minister under Prophet Elvis Mbonye, he passionately preaches the gospel. Simon, a former contestant for the Makerere University guild presidency, excelled as a law student, representing the university in various international law moot court competitions, including those in Washington DC, Oxford University, London, The Hague, Netherlands, Pretoria, South Africa, and Arusha, Tanzania.
